Athlos Personal Training was born due to a love of health, fitness & nutrition and a desire to help others and to pass on skills and knowledge that can give long term health, fitness and nutritional benefits to everyone. Our aim is to help those we work with Move better, Eat healthier, Feel Stronger, Look better & Live Longer.

Whats in a name?

Athlos is the Greek word that the English word athlete was derived from and that’s what every one of clients is, an Athlete. Be it someone who is brand new to fitness or someone who is a old hand and just wants that clarity and direction to reach a goal. Working with us makes you an Athlos athlete, whether you train to race, train to feel better, train to be able to keep up with the kids or a mix of many reasons. We will give you passion and dedication to get you the results you deserve.

Next our logo. The design is the Greek symbol for change, which really speaks for itself. That’s we want to help people achieve. Changes. Be those in their fitness, their diet, their lifestyle or all 3 we will be there every step of the way.

Our logo is also 3 sided, which fits in well with our brand values of Fun, Simple and Effective.

Fun 

Our personal training, consultations and all other aspects of working together will be fun and enjoyable and hopefully never feel like a drag or a chore.

Simple

We shy away from Jargon and scientific language unless you so wish, so our plans, training and nutrition coaching are simple and easy to understand.

Effective

There are two branches to this. Our personal training plans are very effective in terms of the results you will achieve but also we think they are excellent value so therefore very cost effective to.

Our Personal Trainer

I’ve been involved with sport all my life from football, squash, running, cycling, triathlon, CrossFit and even Dragon Boat Racing!!! However in recent years I have been competing in triathlons, duathlons and cycling road races.

I love everything health & fitness related and have a passion to spread the word and help people learn more about health, fitness and ultimately reach their targets.

My philosophy is fun, simple and effective training so by working with me you will enjoy your training and time in the gym, train in a way that you will understand without all the, sometimes unnecessary, jargon and science and get the most effective results possible to reach YOUR goals and hopefully change your health and lifestyle forever.

Coaching with me is all about me joining team you.
Coaching is based around you and how I can provide the support, structure and guidance to help you reach your goals.
My job is to make the plan fit you, your lifestyle, your preferences and your goals.

This is one of the key differences between group training or following a generic plan.

I apply my knowledge and experiences to you as an individual, I go through the ups and downs with you, I help you find solutions to your barriers.

Many trainers seem more interested in getting you to join their “team” or that you “get to” work with them.
Remember this is your journey and you are choosing who you want to help you get there and it should be centred around you and not an ego trip for your trainer.
